In denigration of age

I am all in favour
Of reform and transform
But to force the past
On the present
To take the world by storm

Is delusional I guess.
I don’t get it
You appropriate
And then make it safe
Call it edgy
Rebrand it
As Indie or Rave.

Ignore me as done
While recycling my past.

I would have more respect
If it was barely original
Instead of this
Rehash for cash.

About how to stay cool
Or being dressed to impress
There’s not much to fool.

Do your best

With the rest
